Health Benefits
Kenra offers comprehensive benefits at a low cost to you. Medical, Dental and Vision
coverage is available beginning the first of the month after a 30-day waiting period.
The cost to you is $5.53 per week for single coverage. The premium for family coverage
varies depending on number of dependents. Kenra utilizes Health Savings Accounts,
with a $2,000 deductible for single coverage and a $4,000 deductible for family
coverage. Kenra contributes into the Health Savings Account $600 per year for single
and $1,200 for family. All wellness is paid at 100%.
Disability/Life Insurance
Short-term Disability, Long-term Disability and Life Insurance are provided at no
cost to you. The waiting period is the first of the month following 30 days.
Retirement
This is one of the finest programs Kenra has to offer. You are eligible first of
the month following a 30-day waiting period to participate in the 401k Plan, a
pre-tax savings/retirement account. Kenra matches dollar for dollar up to 6%. All
employer-matched money is 100% vested at the end of each year.
Holidays & Vacations
Kenra offers two weeks of vacation after completing one year of employment. Vacation
benefits grow with years of service. Hourly employees receive 6 paid personal days
per year. Kenra also offers a generous holiday schedule, including Martin Luther
King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving (2 days).
The Office and Plant close Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
Leaves of Absence & Flex Time
Kenra understands that in our modern day society there are many demands on family
members. Kenra provides time away from work for reasons besides personal illness
or vacation, for such instances as family illness, death of a relative, urgent personal
business, etc. subject to policy provisions. Kenra may also allow flex time hours
depending on the position and current structure of the department.
Product Allowance
We know you'll love our products and want to use them every day. Therefore, we offer
a $25.00 per quarter allowance for the purchase of Kenra products at an employee
cost.
